What’s been happening…

Here’s what has been happening the past week:

    Thursday

  • Buzzy had his surgery on his leg. It was supposed to last about 1.5 to 2 hours, it lasted 9 hours. Yep, it was definitely a wee bit more complicated than originally advertised. I didn’t get home until midnight.

      • Friday

  • Took the day off of work due to exhaustion.
  • Doodle loses a tooth.
  • Took the kids to the hospital to see grandad.

      • Saturday

  • No soccer game for Doodle. Rain.
  • Took a trip to the $200.00 store – Sam’s.
  • Lunch at Hooters. It was Doodle’s idea – honest.
  • Took the kids back to the hospital to see grandad.

      • Sunday

  • Lunch at Applebees with Susan, Caroline, Doodle, Emily and Carol (Birthday Girl).
  • Doodle complains of a headache. This is called foreshadowing.
  • Took the kids to the hospital to see grandad.
  • Doodle starts running a fever.

      • Monday

  • Back to work.
  • Emily wakes up with a fever.
  • Doodle still has fever and is now officially sick.
  • Renee takes both kids to the doctor. Strep throat for both.
  • Grandad comes home from the hospital.

      • Tuesday

  • Both kids still sick.
  • Emily walks around the house with her index finger pointed straight up. I ask her what is going on, she tells me that she spinning a basketball on her finger. She also infroms me that it is only ‘pretend’. It makes me feel better, my daughter is not crazy.

    • All in all, its just another week in the neighborhood.

    Wekend Wrap Up

    Quick wrap up of the weekend:

  • Emily had another cheerleading competition – First place, again.
  • Doodle had two soccer games on Saturday – both tied.
  • Doodle also scored one goal. He made $10.00 for his goal from me and Grandad.
  • Progress reports came out for Senior Henry on Friday. Three A’s in Math, Reading and Language. Two S’s in Science and Social Studies. His average in Reading is slipping, though. Its now a 97 – time for him to crack the books a bit harder.:lol:

    • Well, the guys are off to the Saints’ game (God help us). I think that the girls are going to rest today and do a little grocery shopping.

    Music in the morning

    Family, Today

    This morning while I was in the shower, I thought that I heard other noises in the house. Keep in mind, it was about 5:45AM. I dismissed it, no one else could be up. Right?

    While I was brushing my teeth, I heard more noise. Huh?

    I didn’t think too much about because I have a head cold right now, so my ears are plugged up.

    I decided to go investigate. I walked into the living room and Emily was singing along to “Confession of a Teenage Drama Queen” soundtrack on the karoke machine. Okay.

    When she noticed me, she gave me a look like “Dude, what is your problem? Leave me alone, I must continue my performance for my ‘fans’.”

    I quickly left the room before she gave me a smackdown.
